Farmers Protest Union Government and Farmer Leaders Meeting Protestors Said we are not Pakistani want peaceful solution.  Center-Farmers meeting lasted for 5 hours with no result: Protesting farmers said


Farmer Movement: Amid the ongoing standoff between farmers and police over their march to Delhi through the two borders of Punjab and Haryana, three Union ministers held the third round of talks with farmer leaders in Chandigarh on Thursday (February 15). Although no result came from this conversation, farmer leaders and the government are saying that the conversation was positive.

Chief Minister of Punjab in a meeting held at Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration, Sector 26, Chandigarh Bhagwant Maan Also participated. Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Arjun Munda, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai represented the Central Government in the ongoing talks on various demands of farmer unions, including legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops.

‘We are not Pakistan’

After the third round of talks between the two sides, Kisan Mazdoor Morcha convenor Sarwan Singh Pandher said, “We said in the talks that we are not Pakistan. We want a peaceful solution. When those people gave us assurance, we also assured them of talks. We put our demands before them. The ministers said that we need some more time. We still have a plan to go to Delhi.”

Meanwhile, farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal said, “The protest will continue in a peaceful manner.” We won’t do anything else. We will also appeal to the farmers. When meetings are going on and we are moving forward (on the borders), how will the meetings continue? They (government) have called a meeting, we will wait till then. “If we don’t get any positive results on Sunday (we will continue).”

What did Arjun Munda say?

Giving information about the meeting, Union Minister Arjun Munda, who arrived on behalf of the government to talk to the farmer leaders, said, “Today there was a very positive discussion between the government and the farmer unions. Focusing on the issues raised by the farmers union, we have decided that the next meeting will be held in Chandigarh at 6 pm on Sunday. We will all find a solution peacefully.

What did Bhagwant Mann say?

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, who was present in this meeting, said, “Today there was a long discussion between the farmers union and the central government. Every topic was discussed in detail. There was a positive discussion. Internet has been shut down in the border areas. Due to this, Students are facing problems during exams. Next meeting is on Sunday. Many topics have been agreed upon. Law and order and problems of people of Punjab are also a matter of concern. We should not have shortage of fuel or milk or anything Which comes from outside.”
